The Women's Collegiate Strategic Committee has called for gender equity via a letter to the USA Rugby Board of Directors, Nigel Melville and the NCAA Committee. The letter was also sent to USA Rugby's Audit Committee and Congress.

The letter, pictured below, refers to IRB funds being earmarked only for men. This adds weight to the rumor that IRB grant money is behind the High Performance monies being allocated to the men's DI-A college competition. The letter also brings up the discrepancy in the amount of contracted players for men's and women's 7s programs. The men will have 15 contracted players in the new year and the women eight.
