Paced by the three tries of wing Kalene Lundstrum, the visiting Twin Cities Amazons WRFC posted a 47-10 win over New York in women’s premier club rugby.

The Amazons went out to a 20-5 halftime lead on two Lundstrum tries, another by Bridges, a penalty and conversion by Desiree Markovich.

Rebecca Brafman touched down New York’s lone first half try.

The Amazons added 27 points after the break on five tries by Kangler, Lundstrum, Radke, Mulford and Braaten. Radke converted one of the tries.

A try by New York’s Oberman in the final minutes accounted for the host’s only second half points, 47-10.

The victory improved the Amazons’ record to 4-1 in WPL play, keeping them just one point ahead of the San Diego Surfers in the Red Division standings.
