The USA men's 7s team pulled out a victory, and a not particularly easy one, in the Bowl Quarterfinals in Dubai.

Two first-half tries paced the Eagles to a 14-5 halftime lead. Nick Edwards ran over four minutes in, and Colin Hawley scored right at the end of the half. Shalom Suniula converted both. That was key, as Spain scored in the second half, but could not get any closer than 14-12.
