South Africa Eke by USA
Sevens - USA Sevens Men

A late try from Johannes Prinsloo gave South Africa a 17-12 victory in the opening HSBC Sevens World Series match for both teams.

The Eagles started superbly well, scoring a quick-strike try in less than a minute, and then, with the score 5-5, taking their time to finish off the half with a try as well. Zack Test scored both tries for the USA, with Folau Niua converting one.

In the second half, Chris Dry went over, with Renfred Dazel's conversion tying the match. It then became clear that whoever scored next would probably win. Prinsloo did the job for South Africa in the 6th minute to give the reining #2 in the World a tough victory.
