Wyles Working Hard to be Fit
National Teams - USA Men

USA fullback Chris Wyles remains a last-minute decision on whether he will be fit to play for the Eagles against Ireland on Sunday.

Wyles himself isn’t making any guesses; he’s just trying to be ready as quickly as possible, despite not having played for the United States since November.

“Obviously it’s not the ideal situation,” Wyles told RUGBYMag.com about his absence from the lineup. “But I have played a lot of rugby with the Eagles over the past two to three years. I feel confident I can fit in right in.”

Wyles has been working hard on his fitness once he got off the crutches and out of the cast. He said he feels fine in that regard, and continues to work on his fitness and taking as many reps as possible.

“I have been working hard on the fitness in recent weeks, so don't feel that to be an issue,” he said.

As for whether Wyles should play fullback, wing or outside center? He’s not saying.

“I will play wherever I am needed to play.”
