Coupled with this addition to the GRFC 7s team will be, Mathieu Axisa who is visiting from French Division II Rugby Club Orléans. Axisa is a seasoned 7s player and will spice things up with a little French flair in the mix. “DeWon Reed will captain the team,” said Snyman, “and will be supported by my senior stalwarts Justin Pauga, Sam Botkin, Max Statler, Bradley Winbush and Spencer Scott.” GRFC 7s were disappointed not to qualify for the USA National 7s Championships earlier this month. The team will be hoping to put that behind them on Saturday and deliver a performance which will end off their season in fine style and build for the future. “This is a perfect opportunity for my players to compare themselves with some of the best international 7s rugby talent available,” said Snyman. “We are looking forward to making our 7s debut on our home pitch and being a part of this exciting tournament at Infinity Park.” The Serevi RugbyTown Sevens sees eight teams competing for the $10,000.00 prize money. The Samurai International 7s team, based in the United Kingdom, has made the journey to Infinity Park and take on the Glendale and three other top domestic teams – Old Puget Sound Beach, Chicago Lions, and Tiger Rugby. Then there is also the Serevi Selects, with Ben Gollings and Santiago Gomez Cora augmenting an outstanding lineup of OPSB veterans, and also USA Falcons – a USA development VII – and the Collegiate All Americans. First game is scheduled to kickoff at 12 noon and tickets will be available at the gate. GRFC 7s Team:
