We've picked 12 players for our 2012 Collegiate Rugby Championship All-Tournament Team. Some outstanding play by teams and players we expected it from, and some we didn't.

Maryland's Trevor Tanifum emerged as perhaps the next Rocco Mauer -- a future Eagle plucked from obscurity by playing on the CRC stage. He fell one try short of Mauer's try record of 11. Had he not left the consolation final early with an injury, perhaps he would have surpassed it.

Bobby Impson of Oklahoma showed flashes that, if you squinted a bit, reminded one of Utah's Don Pati.

Texas' Eric Luikens made a worthy highlight in the opening seconds against Cal, intercepting the second pass of the game for a try. That was just one of many great plays from the senior on the weekend.

The big names, like Peter Tiberio, Madison Hughes and Brett Thompson, showed well, too.
