Life University edged Old Blue 27-25 in a tight Super League contest that puts the Georgia club in the early driver's seat for a playoff spot between the two clubs.

Old Blue flyhalf Ashley Moeke had a shot to tie the game right at the end with a conversion kick, but his attempt sailed wide.

Life improves to 2-0, while Old Blue drops to 1-2.

NYAC, meanwhile, continued to rack up big scores, beating Boston 51-14. Prop Patrick Fiffe scored two tries, as did No. 8 Alastair McFarland while Ed Cullen, Seth Cohen, Max Levine and Alan MacGinty also touched down. MacGinty hit a penalty and four conversions for 16 points.

NYAC improves to 3-0 and Boston drops to 0-2.

This is an eight-game for the RSL East, so there's plenty of rugby to be played. But Life and NYAC are at the top right now. Those two teams don't meet until April 14.
