Super League to Change Playoff Schedule
Clubs - Elite Cup / RSL

Following his appointment as USA Men's National Team Head Coach Mike Tolkin requested that the Super League look into changing its playoff schedule.

The RSL had schedule their playoffs to have the semis June 2 and the final on June 9. This was when the league was under the impression the USA Men's National Team would not be playing test matches until June 16.

But the Eagles June schedule was changed to June 6, 16 and 23, but failed, as NYAC coach and RuggaMatrix America co-host Bruce McLane pointed out on the latest show, to inform the Super League. McLane learned of the change by accident.

On the current RuggaMatrix America show, McLane revealed that he has been working behind the scenes to honor Tolkin's request and move the semifinals to Memorial Day Weekend (May 26, to be exact), and the final to June 2, thus allowing Eagles on the championship teams to play and still be available for the Eagles.

McLane said he had the votes from the East, but pushed SFGG Boardmember and RSL adminstrator Greg Rocca to support the change, as well. It seems the campaigning has worked, and the League will announce the change soon.

The Semifinals will be held May 26 and the final June 2 at a location to be decided.
