Stony Brook Team Meets With Senator

Senator Charles Schumer meets with the Stony Brook rugby team. The Stony Brook rugby team got some unexpected exposure this weekend when Senator Charles Schumer invited them to a press conference.

Sen. Schumer of NY was speaking about keeping student loans affordable, and wanted regular students to be a part of the conference. Local press interviewed the players.

The senator posted on his Facebook page a thank-you to the team, praising the Stony Brook team’s success and wishing them luck in the national playoffs.
