Great Northwest Challenge Slated for This Weekend
School Age - All-Stars


The Great Northwest Challenge may have come of age in 2012.

The Age-Grade Select-Side tournament began as a series of challenge matches between Oregon and Washington back in 2003 and expand and shifted and changed over time, may possible have found a home in Boise, Idaho.

The event will feature all-star teams from Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado this weekend in Boise. The location is ideal as it is driving distance for most of the teams. Rugby Idaho will host the event, to be held at Heroes Park in Meridian, Idaho just outside the state’s capital, where the venue boasts three full-size rugby pitches.

Special gifts for the tournament MVPs have been provided by RUGBYMag.com.

The teams will also get a visit from Idaho native and former USA Men’s National Team captain John van der Giessen.
