Liquid Rugby Relaunches
Off The Field - RUGBYMag Reader News

Liquid RugbyJim Carlberg, the rugby supply businessman who helped save the Rugby name from Ralph Lauren (see here) has just relaunched his new website www.liquidrugby.com

The store is open and ready for orders.

Carlberg was in a protracted legal battle with Polo Ralph Lauren about the use of rugby in merchandise sales. Ralph Lauren was attempting to prevent any clothing maker from using the term rugby, as that was the name of one of PRL's store chains.

Carlberg and his company won the court case, with prejudice, and in fact this fall Ralph Lauren announced it would be closing its Rugby stores.

In 2011 Carlberg joined forces with Rhino Rugby to create Rhino Rugby USA, which is the sponsor of RUGBYMag.com's Player of the Week Award.
