Universal to Show USA v Italy Live
Off The Field - RUGBYMag Reader News

Los Angeles – Universal Sports Network will showcase USA Rugby’s Men’s National Team this Saturday, June 23, when they host Italy at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. Coverage begins Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. ET LIVE on Universal Sports and online at UniversalSports.com.

The Eagles host Italy in one of its last summer test matches on the heels of last week’s 36-20 victory against Georgia in Glendale, CO. New Head Coach Mike Tolkin and Team Captain Todd Clever will seek redemption against the Italians, who prevented Team USA from garnering an automatic invitation to the 2015 Rugby World Cup when Italy beat them 27-10 at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Calling the action will be play-by-play announcer Bill Seward alongside analyst Brian Hightower, former USA Sevens captain. Match highlights will be available following the match at UniversalSports.com.

Universal Sports Network recently transitioned to a multi-platform, high definition cable, satellite and IPTV service. Currently, DIRECTV, DISH and several other cable providers offer Universal Sports Network. Viewers whose cable, satellite or IPTV providers are not currently offering the network should call 1-800-55-GET-US or visit www.IWantUniversalSports.com and demand access to the network’s coverage of the world’s biggest championships.
