RUGBYMag.com has opportunities for interns!

Duration: Winter/Spring semester
Compensation: Possible college credit, no stipend

RugbyMag.com, the premier source for rugby in the US, is searching for college interns to staff its network of contributors countrywide. RugbyMag.com prides itself on timely match reporting, in-depth player/coach/referee profiles, and hard-hitting features investigating the nuances of the sport and its organizations.
The position will require interns to interview players/coaches for day-of match reports, as well as maintain standings/results/rankings of the country's leagues and competitions. The opportunity to write features and contribute to the online magazine are also available for the motivated.
Interns will be expected to learn and adhere to in-house style guides and general composition standards, and above all, fulfill deadlines with minimal management.
The ideal candidate would be a journalism/English/communications major interested in online sports journalism and familiar with the sport of rugby. The internship does not offer a stipend, as this is a remote position, but college credit can be negotiated on an individual basis.
This is a great opportunity for budding journalists to familiarize themselves with the world of online journalism, inner workings of the editorial process on a daily, monthly and yearly basis, and to build a weighty portfolio.
Interested candidates should e-mail Jackie Finlan at

The internship will begin in January 2012 and may extend beyond the winter/spring semester based on performance.
