Princeton Women Win Ivy 7s Crown

Princeton, under the guidance of former Eagle 7s Coach Emil Signes, won the Women’s Division of the 2012 Ivy League 7s with a 24-0 win over Yale in the final in Princeton, NJ Saturday

Only four of the eight Ivy Women’s sides competed, with Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell and Harvard failing to field sides. Princeton dominated the Ivy 7s, posting preliminary round wins over Penn (19-5), Yale (10-0) and Columbia (24-12).

In its 24-0 win over Yale in the final, all of Princeton’s scoring came on first-half tries by Olivia Gerard, Morgan Arthur, Devan Kreisberg and Kristy Giandomenico. Lauren Rhode added two conversions.
