Life Super at 7s in Marietta
Sevens - Collegiate Sevens

Dannis Hawk DC photoLife University ran the table at the ACRL 7s in Marietta, one of two tournaments the ACRL ran this weekend.

Life fielded two teams, and in fact their 2nd team almost finished on top of the round-robin affair, as the Life teams didn't play against each other. Life II ended up being edged on points difference.

"We put in a bunch of younger guys and a lot of fast, athletic guys who are still learning," said Life Director of Rugby Dan Payne about the Life II team, and, sparked by previous USA 7s team prospect Gershon Blaise, they certainly were athletic, averaging just under 50 30 points a game, and allowing only 17 total.

Colton Cariaga led a Life effort that gave up one try - to 3-2 Davenport.

Davenport has a solid day, beating Wake Forest (Reece Czarnecki scoring four tries), Florida State, and Clemson.

Czarnecki was also the only player to breach the Life line.
