Two more teams will earn automatic bids this weekend, with the Allied Rugby Conference and East Coast Rugby Conference hosting their tournaments Saturday. The ECRC championship will be played in Amesbury, Mass. American International College is competing, but cannot earn the conference's automatic bid. The ARC tournament is in Norman, Okla. and includes a few teams from outside of the DI-A conference, including Colorado State and Arkansas. Both are playing in other qualifying tournaments, Colorado State in the Rocky Mountain 7s and Arkansas in the Heart of America and Southeastern CRC events. With 15 automatic bids up for grabs, there will be at least nine at-large bids to be doled out by the College Competitions Committee, depending on whether or not all automatic invites are accepted. The qualification season for USA Rugby's College 7s National Championships is well underway, with three teams already automatically qualified: Davenport, Lindenwood and Life.
