Not much has shifted in the DII rankings, as a lot of teams are inactive, either still waiting to come out of the winter doldrums or prepping for playoffs.

Two of our top-10 teams from two weeks ago, however, have fallen. Sierra College lost to Fresno State and Santa Rosa JC fell to Nevada. Sierra and Santa Rosa JC had already sewn up first and second in Northern California before the losses, so we won’t impale them for letting a meaningless games drop. Plus, Northern California is a good league, and losing a game in it is no embarrassment.

However, we have jumped UNC-Wilmington and East Carolina upward. UNC-Wilmington’s only loss this season was to DI-AA North Carolina, and ECU’s only loss this season was to UNC-Wilmington.

Towson also fell a spot after losing to James Madison. JMU failed to make the Mid-Atlantic quarterfinals, and that’s not a good result. However, Towson also beat DI-AA Temple, and no one below them, aside from ECU (having beaten Radford which finished ahead of James Madison in Virginia), did anything to garner moving up.

Further down the list, Western Oregon is inching forward as it continues to beat Pacific Northwest competition. The PNRFU playoffs are March 24-25.
