Most of our Top 25 remains inactive and will through much of February, if not into March. However, some great leagues, like Northern California, have kicked off. Sierra College and fellow NorCal DII junior college Santa Rosa JC usually have a lot of turnover, so it’s hard to expect similar results from year to year. Both have started off league play 1-0, and both have had promising preseasons, so they’re in our list. Cal Maritime also had a lot of turnover during the offseason, but a fall win over Stanford and a good start to the spring sees the Keelhaulers to No. 20. We considered moving Lindenwood to No. 1, but decided we need to see them beat a better team college team. So far, their best win is over a DII men’s club, and their best college win is over rebuilding Saint Louis. Then we looked at the Lions’ spring schedule, and their toughest games in the spring are against more men’s clubs and middle-of-the-road DI-AA Missouri, so it looks like we’re going to have to wait until the West semifinals to see what the Lions can do against quality college competition. 1.
