The monstrous game since our last ranking was Feb 19. when Saint Louis University avenged their lone fall loss against Mizzou in impressive fashion, winning 46-10 and taking a stranglehold on the Missouri RFU league. All that stands between them and an LAU title is a match against Principia, in which SLU will be heavily favored. Two schools, Salisbury and Towson, played Navy squads. Salisbury won and also pounded Loyola, which is why they moved up two spots. Towson lost but played physically, and a dilapidated TU squad dropped a disappointing game to Old Dominion, thus keeping them put. Towson and Salisbury split their two meetings in the spring, and when full strength, the boys from Baltimore are very good, so we won't crucify them for one bad outing. Slowly creeping upward is Rice. The Owls are undefeated and firmly entrenched in first place of Texas. At this rate, they'll be top 10 in no time. New to the list is Colorado College. At 6-0 and in first place in the Eastern Rockies, they probably deserved the honor some time ago. The ERRFU is traditionally a very strong DII league. With their top three programs now DI, it's unclear how talented the league remains, but we like CC. 1. (1) UW-Whitewater. 10-0 Idle |
