Rankings - Men DI College

North Carolina keeps winningThere was some shakeup throughout the rankings this time around, as we’ve had some surprise results. Perhaps the biggest surprise result was Florida State tying Georgia, a team they beat handily earlier this season. The tie has bounced the ‘Noles from playoff contention, but they’re still a very good side.

It’s hard to call a North Carolina win a surprise at this juncture, but the fact that they’re undefeated and a lock for the ACRL title game kind of is. They defeated yet another salty, ranked side in Virginia Tech this past weekend. Also winning a big game in the ACRL was Maryland, who put a very good score on Virginia. We think the Terps may end up facing UNC in Charlotte to decide the conference champ.

Buffalo slid a bit, as their last match was a big loss, albeit to top-ranked Bowling Green. But the teams directly behind them all won big. One of them was K-State, a team that if you asked us about them two weeks ago, we’d have told you were a probable one-and-done in the tournament, but with an infusion of Australian talent, they may have one of the best, but least talked about, backlines in the entire country.

Towards the bottom of the list, Temple leapfrogged Harvard because the Owls can’t seem to lose in the EPRU, while Harvard is yet to play a meaningful game this spring.
