Men's DI-AA College Top 25, April 3, 2012
Rankings - Men DI College

The playoffs are inching closer, now less than a month away, and teams are either winding down their conference seasons or playing some out-of-league friendlies to get ready for the postseason.

This week, all ranked teams won their non-conference match-ups. Stony Brook beat St. Joe’s, Wisconsin beat Arkansas, Bowling Green walloped Michigan, St. Bonaventure beat Niagara and Northeastern drubbed Yale.

None of the non-con wins were good enough to warrant movement, except for Wisconsin knocking off Arkansas. It bumps the Badgers past Miami (OH), even though they lost to the Reds in the fall, since Miami has largely been idle this spring. Wisconsin also surpasses Bowling Green, who has lost twice this spring. Arkansas exits the Top 25.

Taking their place is Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons have gotten off to a quiet but solid start in the Atlantic Coast with wins over NC State, Georgia Tech and Virginia. Their sole loss was to North Carolina in Chapel Hill. It may be too soon to think Wake is going to challenge Maryland for an ACRL title, but we’ll find out more about the Demon Deacons when they face Clemson Saturday.
