Colgate advanced to the men’s DII college quarterfinals with a 29-25 defeat of Bentley College.
Colgate fell behind 15-5 in the first half, but a scoring frenzy right at the end of the period put them ahead, and wing Dean Cohn’s try in the second sealed the game, putting Colgate up 29-15. Bentley had a chance to come back and scored two tries late, but missed both conversions.

Colgate will face Towson, which edged Boston University 21-14, in Sunday’s quarterfinals.
Towson also came back from a first-half deficit. Collin Yip’s 14th-minute try held up for half an hour for the Terriers. But into the second half Towson was able to break through. Prop Aaron Goldberg’s try, converted by Christian Lowe, tied the game 7-7, and fullback Marc Magas’s try at 59 minutes put the Tigers ahead 14-7.
But Boston University battled back to deadlock the score once again – Prop Edouard Gritton went over and flyhalf Justin Rutherford slotted the conversion to make it 14-14 with 14 minutes to go.
It wasn’t until the end of the match that the game was decided. Towson flyhalf Lowe zipped in for the winner with a minute left, and converted for good measure, putting the Tigers through to the quarters.
