We cheated. Instead of stepping out bravely and naming a preseason DII Men’s Club Top 25, we waited until most teams were halfway done with their season before producing a ranking. Nonetheless, there aren’t too many surprises. Most of the teams we have listed came down from DI since last season, did well in DII or are traditionally competitive.

Some areas we know a lot about, like the Northeast, where the Village Lions have already won the territorial championship. Others, like Southern and Northern California, have yet to really get going.

The biggest surprise from the club season’s first semester was probably the Charleston Outlaws’ upset of defending national champs, the Tampa Bay Krewe. While the win was certainly noteworthy, we still think the Krewe are the team to beat in DII.
