Clemson University defeated the University of Virginia 40-23 this weekend in ACRL action.

The Tigers led just 14-13 at halftime, with tries from flyhalf Dave Caesar and flanker Tommy Evants, but reeled off four tries in the second half.

Lock Shaun Rich scored twice and No. 8 Matt Fetty and prop Max Simons each touched down once. Fullback Chris Merlo added four conversions and freshman wing Chris Abraham kicked one.
