Oregon State v Utah Postponed

A frozen pitch and concerns over player welfare forced the PAC contest between Utah and Oregon State in Salt Lake City to be postponed.

In preparation, Utah provided twice daily field inspections and updates to the visiting team throughout the week and all was looking good through Friday evening.

On game day, Utah were very accommodating, Oregon State coach Anthony Lally said, and made every effort to clear the pitch with John Cullen arriving with a snow blower, the other players using shovels and boots used to clear the pitch.

Utah did their best to seek out alternatives to find an opportunity to proceed with the match other fields investigated but to no avail. The icy playing surface and other shortcomings at the fall back locations posed too much risk to the players

A joint lunch with both clubs was held in place of the match, spirits were good from both clubs in spite of the disappointment. Both club captains made short speeches
