As usual, SFGG spread the scoring wealth around as they put O-Club to the cutlass on Treasure Island. Tevita Kolamatangi, Mile Pulu, and Jeff Kolata all scored two tries, while Tevita Okusi, Sione Otusia and Chris Biller all touched down twice.

Volney Rouse, back on the field after being injured, kicked three conversions and Heine McFarland added one.

The SFGG defense proved to be the dominant factor, holding the O-Club's dangerous backs to a single try and three penalties.

In two challenging goalline stands, SFGG weathered some punishing attacks, led by Olympic Club's USA prop Mike MacDonald, back on the field after injury rehab.

All  of the Olympic Club points were scored by flyhalf Eoin O'Toole.

In the set pieces, the teams were fairly evenly matched early on, but the SFGG pack, led by Danny LaPrevotte and Chris Biller wore them down.

Changes in the second half including John Thomas (starting his first game on the bench in four years) and Neil Barrett, saw the pressure only move up with the fresh legs.

Mile Pulu is returning to form after last season's knee injury and showcased some elusive running.

In one memorable series, he touched the ball three times, the last a five-meter pass to hard charging Jeff Kolata for an easy try.

The victory ensures SFGG stays clear of the Sacramento Lions in first place. Now at 4-0 with 20 points in the standings, SFGG is five points clear of Sacramento after the same number of games. Olympic Club drops to 1-3.
