Boston continued to roll in the New England DI club league, shutting out a very solid Mystic River team 44-0, and the Boston club continues to show the difference between a strong former Super League outfit and good DI.

Boston moved to 3-0, and so did the Boston Irish Wolfhounds, although 'Hounds Head Coach Fergal Hehir was distinctly unimpressed with his team's performance.

"We were shockingly bad," said Hehir. "We got a couple of pushover tries from lineouts and mauls, but we really didn't play any sort of rugby at all."

Stymied about by a bouncy artificial turf that caused them trouble in controlling the ball when it was on the ground, the Wolfhounds did themselves no favors in their accuracy. Middlesex pushed them hard and scored four tries in losing to BIW 35-29.

The Wolfhounds did not garner a bonus point for four tries, as they struggled to finish off their chances.

Flyhalf Tom Walsh was the difference, kicking six penalty goals to go along with one conversion for 20 points.

Also in New England, South Shore claimed their first win of the season, hitting Hartford hard with a 60-17 score. Also getting their first victory of the season was New Haven, led by JT Perkins and Matt Reynolds, New Haven downed still-winless Amoskeag 36-10.
