Monmouth took sole possession of first place in the MetNY men’s DI club league with a 36-19 defeat of Long Island Saturday.
Monmouth improved to 2-0 with bonus-point victories in each game. Meanwhile, 1-0 New York edged previously 1-0 White Plains 15-8. New York, then, improved to 2-0 but failed to get that bnus point for four tries.
Old Blue defeated the Village Lions in a friendly.
