Plenty of scoring in Midwest DI action this weekend as teams worked their way into the meat of the season. The Chicago Blaze defeated the Milwaukee Westside Harlequins in dramatic fashion. Brian Lubacz scored at full time to push the Blaze ahead 31-29. More scoring as the Detroit Tradesmen edged Scioto Valley (Columbus) 45-38 in Ohio. It was a relatively sloppy game, but the Tradesmen survived despite a less-than-polished performance on defense. Adam Saad recorded 30 points for the Tradesmen. Buffalo were also winners on the road, as they defeated Indianapolis 37-22. The Tradesmen improve to 3-1 to pass the idle Cincinnati Wolfhounds for 1st in the Midwest-East. Buffalo improved to 2-1. The Blaze recorded their first win and are now 1-2.
