Russia rugby coach Kingsley Jones has named two debutants in his provisional 30-man squad for the Bears' three-match tour of Britain next month.
Russia clash with Oxford on November 4, play the U.S. national side on November 9 before taking on Canada a week later.
Half of Jones' squad is drawn from the country's top two sides VVA-Podmoskovye and Enisei Krasnoyarsk, with new boy Ramilya Gaysina at the former and fellow debutant Andrei Polivalov at Imperia Penza.
Otherwise, it features 13 of the players who impressed at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand a year ago including former London Wasps duo Vladimir Korshunov and Viktor Gresev.
Northampton Saints wing Vasily Artemyev is not named in the provisional squad but is expected to be added later.
The games against the U.S. and Canada are part of the inaugural IRB International Rugby Series to be played in Colwyn Bay in North Wales.
Gogledd Cymru general manager Rupert Moon said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for North Wales to grab the rugby spotlight and showcase the depth of feeling and support there is in the area for Wales' national game.
"What the WRU and IRB have be able to do in bringing Russia, USA, Samoa, Tonga and Canada to play up here in North Wales is simply fantastic.
"What we aim to do is put on a show to prove beyond all doubt that there is a home for international rugby in North Wales.
"The last time the two superpowers of Russia and USA met was at the World Cup in New Zealand. And don't forget there is a strong Welsh link to Russian rugby given their coach is the former international wing-forward Kingsley Jones.
