It has been far too long since we submitted a Girls HS Rankings. With some teams playing in the fall, some in mid-season now, and some not having played yet, it's a tough call to make.
So what we have is a ranking based on the results we've seen, with a little pre-season speculation thrown in.
Fallbrook has started well and returns at #1, with Summit at #2 based on their outstanding fall. Kent has started extremely well and looks solid in an improved Washington league, so they jump up to #3. The Amazons, who faltered in 2012, have beaten everyone in Northern California, and this is a league that is more than two good teams and others making up the numbers. NorCal may challenge Wisconsin as the league with the most depth.
Fullerton is solid so far, while our rankings of the teams from the Midwest really is speculation at this point.
Teams to watch out for - Danville in Northern California has emerged as a threat, and Budd Bay (once upon a time coached by RUGBYMag's editor, but no longer, so ranking them isn't so fraught) has started well, but will have to show staying power.
Maryville and Seigel appear the best of Tennessee so far, but Karns is playing well, also.
