LSU has back-to-back lopsided non-conference wins – beating Arkansas by nearly 30 and crushing Texas State 80-0, so the Tigers move up a little. They’re still behind UCF and Brown, because beating Florida and tying Dartmouth, respectively, are bigger feats than pounding Arkansas and Texas State. The Seminoles have folded their 7s guys back into the mix and scored two blowout wins on the weekend – walloping both Valdosta State and the Tallahassee U23s, so they jump up to No. 18. It seems like every Lindenwood win is by more than the one before it. This time, the Lions disemboweled Oklahoma State 136-0, begging the question, why is Lindenwood not in DI-A? A season after like scores against DII competition, the Lions are embarrassing DI-AA teams at every turn. Sure, playoff competition will be tougher, but it seems as though it wouldn’t have been too massive a stretch for the well-funded, centrally-located team to join Davenport, Life and Arkansas State in the Mid-South. Leaving the Top 25 this week is Maryland, who is yet to score a win this fall. The Terps’ absence makes room for Brockport, who now sits in the driver’s seat of the race for the Empire’s playoff bid following a 25-24 defeat of Buffalo. Pitt makes a big jump, too, after moving to 8-0 on the season against collegiate competition. 1. (1) Cal |

Florida State and LSU slipped down the rankings because of some poor results against questionable competition in really early matches. They’ve both rebounded in big ways, slaughtering their most recent opponents and are moving back up the list.
