Serious consideration should be looked at for players on the Northern Illinois men's rugby team. For one, their flyhalf Alex Binetti is one of the best athletes in the midwest and has a great boot in full. Also their inside center Jacob Goldsmith (red carded for a questionable tackle during the whitewater game) and scrumhalf Daniel Pammer make for some of the best continuity, combined with Binetti, in the Midwest game. All three are returning for the 2011-12 season and should be hard to match.

Everyone talking bad about emery pressman has no backing behind their reason. Only an idiot would base their judgement about a rugby player's ability on a picture. It is one second in time and does not reflect anything about the athleticism, skill, competitiveness , and drive he possesses, or else he would not be listed above.

Having played in the national championship against Salisbury last year their group of forwards were the greatest example of "thugby." Their front line especially was entirely outmatched despite the shaved heads and the perceived yet unapparent toughness. Yet even more evidence that while the people responsible for this website are trying hard to further the growing image of US Collegiate rugby they are highly undereducated. If you're going to put together a list like this please take the time to actually know what you're talking about.

Congratulations to those making this esteemed list. Anyone bashing them is sour grapes. Maybe they should spend a little more time worrying about themselves? Oh I forgot once a loser, always a loser. Go sharks!

Congrats to Justin (USF) and Matt (ECU) two very good players who would start at any university in the nation.(Yes I have played and coached on both the West Coast and in the East and feel comfortable making the statement) Many players currently playing in DII are looking forward to the move up to DI.

the technique seen in the photo might look unorthodox but it worked. crouch touch pause engage . . . the opponent is ten meters in the wrong direction and the ball was in the sharks possession. Emory Pressman was a large reason why the sharks went so far in competition and unless your responsible for the three points witch knocked them out of championship contention you should shut your mouth. Congratulations Emory.

thanks patrice clifton - to clarify, my intention wasn't bashing the list, and espc not the players. i also echo your comments on "good season" to all those could haves who didnt.... you are what makes the competition ever more competitive. i simply wanted to laugh at what i thought was poor reflection on the writers rugby analytical ability. seriously, the pre-engagement technique on display isn't good, and the only thing i see anchored in that shot is the tightheads hand on his knee. and to your glorification of "numerous nominations", i am betting there will be one, possibly two Div II players in the real AAs that arent even on that list
