I guess the thinking is that if they can beat Xavier (since they play during the season) then the other challenges would be manageable. Obviously not always true but if you can beat a program that has dominated you year after year the rest would seem much more possible. McQuaid looks like a solid program too and the enemy of my enemy is my friend... until you play GHS that is. If you've seen them play... what is it that GHS is lacking?

Greenwich doesn't have a problem with xavier to go to nationals, the problem for them has been mcquaid two years in a row now, something their coach failed to recognize. They looked like they thought they would run through mcquaid, but that was not the case at all with a 38-14 lost.

So Xavier had a bye into the finals. The way they've been playing it probably wouldn't have mattered. Why didn't NERFU send anyone? Who is in that division? GHS has great athletics but can't seem to get over the Xavier hump. They also never seem to get players recognized and up to the All-american or U19 national teams. As an alumni from the first 2 seasons GHS rugby existed I am both proud and frustrated.

Greenwich lost 38-14 to McQuaid Jesuit on Saturday, and NERFU failed to send a team. So the only game Xavier had to play was in the championship.
