Last weekends championship in Thornton, CO was the sixth and final weekend of Rugby Colorado's TRY season. This year the CIPP registration topped 1,000 boys and girls from U-7 to U-17 playing seven a side rugby on the weekends of May and June. Rugby Colorado TRY president Paul Petit led this years program during the record setting expansion. The organization and logitical accomplishments of the league cannot be understated. Organizing referee's, marking fields, developing schedule's and medical personal are essential to the success of the program and could not be accopmlished without numerous volunteers. Twenty teams registered for this years TRY season. TRY league teams are part of SBRO Rugby Colorado that includes 32 boys and girls high school rugby programs from across the state of Colorado.

Bernie..... I obviously should have read the whole article other than just the blue highlighted section regarding the Denver Lions. I'm not sure about some of your facts here? Players did not register just for last weekend's competition. This was Jamboree #6, the culmination of a 6 week season! All these kids have been at it since at least the beginning of May if not longer. The league is organised by Rugby Colorado and led by TRY President Paul Petitt and the Exectutive Committee. The last time I checked Cecil Hitzges was in fact a man :) I have by no means any journalistic skills but unfortunately I'm not convinced this is suitable summarization of what the TRY Youth Rugby league has developed into nor how it is represented today!
