I can handle more than one term and by knowing the context, understand the meaning. Maybe once I'll be confused but the second time I think I can handle it. Heck, I couldn't figure out why my Kiwi friend was calling our scrumhalf a halfback and our flyhalf a standoff. Asked a question and now I know - they're the same. Not too difficult.

Yes and we must all put "cheers" before we sign our names, call our cleats boots, and call stiff arms "handing off". Hey baggetta, a word means whatever most of the people in the country think it means. Everyone knows what offense means in this country. So in this country, using offense makes sense. go sniff some foreign jock straps if you want to get that particular foreign "flavor".

Even though I agree with the fact that the 9s had their slow moments in the game - especially Dickson who got quite annoying - quick ball from the rucks will come if first of all rucks are cleaned and won quickly, thus allowing a quick recycle. Both teams were really effective slowing down each other at the breakdown, so as long as the defense had time to reset, it doesn't matter any longer how long the 9 will get the ball out... Once each team got clean rucks, the 9s didn't waste any time...

Yes, we should all try to sound as English as possible when talking about rugby. Real rugby people don't speak in common American parlance. And don't forget...it's called a "hooter"!

Alex - this has been driving me crazy for months as you continue to use the term offense when you mean attack. In rugby we have attack and defense not offense and defense. Offense in rugby means a violation of the laws. Thanks.
