Probably not the most popular viewpoint, but... how are you to justify that the US player, on his knees, engaged in the ruck, handling the ball, shouldn't have been penalized? It might be my lack of knowledge but I don't see how any ref can turn a blind eye to that.

The slow-motion replay shows that the critical last penalty against the Eagles was not "unfairly" called. The call was not for diving but for playing the ball in the ruck while being part of the it. That's different. Good effort Eagles. Let's get the bronce cup now.

How does a player like Bokhoven, who had one bad game or maybe a bad tournament, get dropped so easily? Meanwhile you have a coach leading a team to their worst losing streak in years and he's still around? Player's put their hearts and souls into it and can be dropped in a seconds notice. Fair enough, that's sport and everything they do is performance based. But a coach should be held accountable to those same standards. Al did a lot of good things for the 7's program over the years. However, you're judged on what you've done lately, and between last year and the first 5 tournaments this year, there's no question he should be dropped. The team is not performing under him and there are still some really good players out there...it's definitely not their fault.
