Just what is it about some American Rugby followers? The fact that the coaching staff travel the states in their own time looking for prospective players is a credit to their dedication to the sport and the country. Coach education and development is a key to the future. As for Salty achieving nothing, maybe you should look at the Results of the World Juniors in Belfast 2007, a World Rugby Trophy Final, Kenya 2009 and the discovery and development of many players who are now part of the national team and the World Sevens circuit! I understand some frustrations but rather than having a go, how about trying to put together some constructive comments.

Feeling it, start to contribute...effect possitive change and improve the state of age grade rugby. Knocking a coach who gives tirelessly and offers opportunity is not going to improve anything. The contribution made by Mr Tompson to age grade rugby.in the US is unquestionable.

Sour grapes? Pulling those kids to one event - probably 2/3 should not be there. That's not efficient. Every year we see something "new" and are told we are moving in the right direction. too long this charade of organization has been given to us. Aren't there other coaches in this country?

Not sure what the sour grapes are over but pulling 74 kids together from across the country is a great thing, if not unprecedented, for rugby this country. There still needs to be more effective week-in-week-out competitions for these kids but at least identifying, categorizing and tracking athletic talent at earlier and earlier ages is a great concrete step in the right direction.

Salty T is a has been - it shows in the makeup of the camp and the make up of the camp. Pathetic - he has done nothing and USA Rugby keeps giving him teams. And to find out he has picked Islanders as the mainstay for the team! he could have made a few calls and sorted this out a long time ago. Clean house. What ineptitude we are constantly force fed by USA rugby.
