Every mens rugby team from a school in the ACC gets invited to the ACI. Whether they decide to come is up to them. For teams like BC and Cuse who play their 15s conference in the fall, it is tough. And then there are recreational teams like Miami who just don't care.

Can't believe the ACC is bringing in Pitt and Syracuse, but I guess that is where things are headed in college sports. In the case of rugby it is possible, but highly unlikey that Pitt and/or Syracuse would join the ACRL. The spring weather and travel would be too much of a factor for both schools to overcome. I don't see the ACRL splitting seasons, so it probably won't happen. Although I bet there is a good chance that they'll get an invite to the ACC 7's in the future.

its possible, but doubtful. The amount of money that would be needed for travel expenses would probably exceed the budget for the average club. Syracuse to Virginia tech is a 9 hour trip at least.

Are Syracuse and Pitt (and possibly UConn or Rutgers) going to join the ACRC next year with all the realignment going on? Could make for a nice North/South division, with BC, Syracuse, Pitt, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Rutgers/UConn in the North and UNC, Duke, Clemson, FSU, Georgia Tech, Wake and NC State in the South
