Congrats to Miami for kicking ass. Congrats to Whitewater for being the only D2 program to NOT back out and they did fairly well; shows true class. Congrats to BGSU and DU for showing their skills and competing in quality 7s. Use it as a learning experience and press forward. Good luck with 15's. Good luck to Miami for Nationals. Give em' hell and show dominance for Midwest rugby.

7's is a game of experience and fitness. Some teams showed up more than others on the day. Miami deserved the win, they worked hard and dominated in their style of play. Congrats to them. Whitewater had a few players here and there during the summer 7s circuit. BGSU had 3ish players on Lions this summer but only 1 of them competed in this tournament. Other players stayed with BGSU for a few tourneys. DU had guys here and there during the summer 7's circuit, but only 1 played for Lions. Miami had players for 1823. It is foolish to say one team had the upper hand based on what they did during the summer. They all played somewhere, in one respect or another.

Who is UWM? Hopefully, this Division II program from Milwaukee, Wi. Has opened some eyes.....With proper coaching and dedicated athletes ANY program can play high level sevens. What happened ....plain and simple UWM ran out of gas....the 7's program was just assembled 3 weeks ago and with proper notification and training time UWM 7's will continue to impress....or at least competitively compete at a high level i.e. the Collegiate Sevens National Championship Tourney....they have video...who needs to be contacted so that these kids get a chance to compete in Miami....UWM 7's is fully funded by UWM as of 3 weeks ago ...imagine 3 years from now.

All college player in the country can play for any club in the summer, as college is out and most kids return home or do interships in big cities. It worked to Miami's favor that most of there team played for 1823 over the past summer. I'm sure Davenport and BGSU will catch up very quick as DU was the only team that could realy give Miami any competition on the day. UWM came out firing and did beat both DU and BGSU, but don't think that will happen again. Thats what makes 7's so interesting anyone can cause an upset like UWM did.

Miami can have their players compete in the Midwest Mens 7's Championship Series for another club and then compete in the Midwest Collegiate 7s Championship. However the Chicago Lions have to decide between Super League or Division 1 in order to ensure all their players get to play this fall. Could someone explain how the Midwest RFU decide the eligibilty rules for their competitions

Miami looked real good. They were the only team that look like they played 7's this season. Work well together. Think they will cause a lot of problems at nationals. Congrats!!!
