J A, I should probably apologize for venting rather than commenting on the article. You are correct, and I know the article was not about them. I saw all 3 of their matches, and one thing I admired was their ability to shake off crushing losses and just go back out there. I was not aware they left early, thought they were just eliminated after losing 3 matches.

Last I checked, NERFU doesnt become a GU until some time in August and that seeds to Nationals were still thru the territories for this year. I guess the lions share of playoff seeds, select side positions, etc. just got to be too much of a drag for you guys huh?

Rumor Mill - New England is not part of the NRU anymore. We were paying dues to the NRU for much too long and seeing nothing in return, so decided to break off.

Ken A, you have to realize this article is not about Cape Cod. It was written as it was saw. Cape Cod was in over their head in this competition, and did leave early. It was admirable to go out for the premier, but more likely belong in the Open bracket.. and south shore and new haven prob should have been in premier. Cape Cod has some good athletes, and definitely needs some time to build and learn.

This article is totally unfair to Cape Cod. What it fails to mention is: 1) This is the second time Cape Cod has ever played 7s 2) They played against some of the best teams in New England that have been in existence for decades 3) The Cape Cod RFC isn't even a year old. 4) They bounced back ready to go even after big losses. *Could have also mentioned that Cape Cod are the 2011 Div IV NERFU champs, but I guess that doesn't go along with the negative narrative.
