There were four kids from New York City's Xavier High School on the pitch in this game: Seamus Kelly for Cal and Mike Erickson, Greg Voigt and Dom DeFalco for the Nittany Lions. Win or Lose, a great day for the 16th Street Kids. Congratulations , men! Note of interest: Seamus and Mike were half of a Xavier gridiron backfield that rushed for over 5,000 yards in 2007. And they played both ways. Oh, and Xavier, which is located in Manhattan, 11 blocks north of Washington Square, has no practice or game fields of its own. In fact, it has no campus-- just a building. Nevertheless, Xavier has been playing football since 1883 and rugby since 1976-- longer than any other high school in the United States.
