I agree with Bruce McLane. Sullivan should be going out there to win these games or get as close to as he can. But when have we actually seen him put the best US XV on the field since he became coach. He has continued to tinker here and there. I would have thought he should just about know the answers as to who he takes in the squad by now. He should have been putting his best team on the field against the strongest team in the competition. He could have used back up players in the other game. You wonder how the likes of Ngwenya, Swiryn, Clever and Wyles will actually go in the RWC if they don`t play some games with the national team and reestablish combinations with the other players. Because it`s not only how good an individual player is, it`s good combinations US rugby is going to need to be competitive at the RWC - the fact the best XV hardly plays together worries me.

Is Phil Thiel a pure Hooker now or is he still a Prop/Hooker???...cause he can fill in add some depth at Prop...either way he deserves to be on the squad

All of the articles on this site have spelling errors. I actually think it is quite an interesting article, and while I disagree that this squad can beat the Saxons (I don't think there is any squad we could put out that would beat the Saxons) the rest of the article is quite insightful and actually seems to be a good dissection of the selections and what we can hope to learn from them.

The fact this article was published so fast before Saturdays match is sad. Despite the little efforts made stating the starters aren't the best but they can get the job done is stupid. We should be encouraging the squad and not looking for things to complain about. You can tell this was rushed look at all the spelling errors. Personally it could have waited to be published until the day of the game or later.
