Sun Devils Over Lobos
Colleges - College DI-A

Arizona State defeated New Mexico 84-0 Saturday in a friendly in Tempe, Ariz. The Lobos didn’t have an easy time of it, thanks in part to a very long bus ride that morning. But also because the Sun Devils were cohesive and precise.

“After our loss to Cal we realized we needed to take better care of the ball and we worked hard on that in training,” said ASU coach Gary Lane. “We were much better at ball retention this time around. It was a solid team effort.”

Sione Letoi led all scorers with 35 points from two tries, eight conversions, and three conversions.

ASU next faces Utah in a PAC Rugby Conference match next Saturday in Salt Lake City.
