Haka a Sign of Respect from BYU

The BYU rugby team presented their special haka to the Arkansas State team after Saturday’s D1-A final.

The haka was a big hit with the fans that stayed for it, and both teams made it clear that the haka was not boastful.

“We were very honored that they wanted to do that for us,” said Arkansas State Head Coach Matt Huckaby.

“It wasn’t a challenge or anything like that,” added game MVP Mikey Su’a. “It was more that we were honoring them for what they had done. That was our message.”
