Cal Poly v UCLA with Playoffs on the Line
Colleges - College DI-A

The D1-A Pacific Conference playoffs go through Los Angeles this weekend, as UCLA hosts Cal Poly. A win for UCLA will put the Bruins in as the #2 team in D1-A, which means a place in the quarterfinals.

Cal Poyl is still in with a chance, as a victory over UCLA gives them a shot should they win against Central Washington next week.

Senior Cal Poly prop Aaron Bordenave says his team’s 45-12 win over UC Davis was nice, but not perfect.

"It was obvious at halftime last week that we weren't as mentally prepared as we should've been going into the match,” said Bordenave. “We've simply got play every D1-A match as if it was for the championship, and that’s about playing 80 minutes of rugby."

UCLA has essentially the same lineup that beat Central Washington 26-23 last week, including wing Martial Chaput, who scored twice, while Coach David Burnett returns the Cal Poly starting 15 that beat Davis.
