HS Elite 7s Semis Set
School Age - Boys

The High School All Americans and British Columbia seems to be on a collision course after pool play ended in the Las Vegas Invitational High School Elite 7s.

The High School All Americans in action Friday. David Barpal photo. After winning their first two matches, the HSAA team faltered slightly in their final pool match of the day, tying a tough BC II side.

But points difference saw the HSAA side in 1st place in Pool A.

In Pool B, BC won their three matches very comfortably. Meanwhile it was a three-way tie for 2nd, as Ontario, Washington, and the High School All Americans II team all finished with 1-2 records.

In the end it came down to points difference, and Ontario just edged the HSAA II team (despite the fact the Americans had beaten them) to take 2nd.

Pool Rankings:
Pool A
HSAA 2-0-1
BC II 2-0-1
Dog River Howlers 1-2
Utah Cannibals 0-3

Pool B
BC 3-0
Ontario 1-2
HSAA II 1-2
Washington 1-2

So Saturday's semifinals are set:

Consolation Semifinals:
Dog River v. Washington 8am
HSAA II v. Utah 8:20am

Cup Semifinals:
HSAA v. Ontario 8:40am
BC I v. BC II 9am
