Two USA players playing rugby in New Zealand have been picked to play in a select side to face New Zealand Universities April 17.

Former Cal captain and tighthead prop Eric Fry and former University of Oklahoma standout and USA U20 loose forward Taylor Mokate have been chosen for the Wairarapa-Bush team to face the New Zealand Universities team.

Both players have been suiting up for Wellington's Old Boys University team.

Wairarapa-Bush head coach Mark Rutene said the two Americans had been recommended by OBU coach Paddy Gough, who is also the assistant coach for this season's Wairarapa-Bush Heartland championship team.
