Saturday was an active and important day for USA players overseas. Here's a wrapup: European Cup (Heineken Cup) Chris Wyles started for Saracens at fullback as they lost 24-21 to Racing Metro. Taku Ngwenya started and scored a try for Biarritz, but his club lost 28-27 to Aironi, the Italian team formed especially for European/Magner competition. Saracens falls for 0-3, while Biarritz falls to 2-1. Amlin Challenge Cup (2nd tier European cup) Kevin Swiryn scored two tries for Agen as they beat Rovigo 33-10. Seta Tuilevuka started at outside center for Montpellier, which beat Bourgoin 39-14. Japan Top League In the biggest match of their season so far, Suntory and flanker Todd Clever defeated Japan Top League leaders Sanyo 17-15. B&I Cup London Welsh were shocked by Mosely as Moseley came back from a 21-5 deficit to win 24-21. Shawn Pittman started at tighthead prop for LW. Scott LaValla started at No. 8 for the Ulster Ravens in their 36-22 loss to Bedford. LaValla scored a try for the Ravens, but the goalkicking of Canadian international James Pritchard saw the Blues through. Other players see their clubs play Sunday.
